Mirchi Aloo Bajji

One chilly evening when the weather was just perfect to have hot hot Mirchi Bondas, I tried out this snack. My friend had suggested to stuff with aloo, so tried stuffing aloo masala in to mirchis. It came out awesome and we enjoyed this yummy snack.

Ingredients:-

Mirchis( Long)- 4 -6
Oil - for frying

Batter:-
Basin- 1 cup
Red chilli powder- 1/2 tspn
Baking soda- a pinch
Salt- to taste
Jeera- 1 tspn
Water- as needed

Aloo Stuffing:-
Potatoes- Boiled -2
Chopped onion finely- 1
Ginger Garlic paste- 1/2 tspn
cumin powder- 1/2 tspn
red chilli powder- 1/2 tspn
Amchur powder- 1/4 tspn
Salt- to taste
coriander leaves- chopped- little

Method:-

For batter:
Make batter with basin, red chilli powder, jeera, salt ,baking soda adding water. it should not be too thick or thin, it should be of the consistency such that mirchi will be nicely coated.
For Aloo Filling:-
Mash the boiled potatoes. Add chopped onion and remaining dry masala items. Mix well and keep i aside.

Assembling:-
Slit the mirchi lengthwise and take away the seeds as many as possible.
Fill each Mirchi with Aloo stuffing and keep it aside.

Finally,

Heat Oil for deep frying.
Take the stuffed mirchi. Dip in the batter. coat it well and slowly drop in the heated oil one by one.
Once it is thoroughly fried evenly, when you see golden brown color, remove them and place it on a paper tissue to remove excess oil.

Cut the mirchis, sprinkle little red chilli powder, salt and lemon juice on top of it and enjoy this yummy and spicy snack!!!!!!!!!
